How is Colt's Rehab Rescue different from other rescues? They typically take in dogs that have no other chance. These dogs have been abused, neglected, under socialized or poorly bred. They may show signs of aggression, fearfulness, dog or people reactivity. They are carefully evaluated by the owner Kerry Schnick and if it is believed these dogs can be rehabilitated, it is agreed to bring them in. Each dog goes through an extensive 4-week inboard train (or more) with the training business ~ Colts Canine Club ~ where they work on the dog's issues and build their confidence, so they are well rounded dogs. If it was not for this rescue most of these dogs would have been put down.
